Registration-Friday August 21, 2009 4pm -7 pm
Refreshments with Dinner served at 7 pm
Mandatory Contestants Meeting: Friday at 7 pm
Rules will be explained and may be altered at the contestants meeting so it is advised that as least one team member be present.
Calcutta
Immediately following the contestants meeting the Calcutta will begin.
Divisions
Non-guided and Guided-please note that a team is considered guided if anyone on the boat or team has guided for hire in the last two years. (bay or off-shore)
Fishing Times
Start fishing at 6:30 a.m. Saturday August 22, 2009. Weigh station will located at the Landing at Redfish Bay (located directly across the street from the camp). Weigh Station will be open from 2pm -4 pm. You must be in line with your fish by 4 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please allow plenty of travel time to get to weigh in safely. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!
Prize money and Trophy Divisions
- ZaZu Stringer - Up to 3 redfish (20"-28") and 3 speckled trout (min. 16") - 1st, 2nd 3rd places will be awarded.
- Heaviest Speckled Trout (min. 16") 1st and 2nd places awarded.
- Heaviest Redfish (20"-28") 1st and 2nd places awarded.
- All fish weighed-in must be caught on a rod and reel by registered ZAZU Tournament participants.
- Fish will be judged by weight in case of a tie in weight-length will prevail.
- Fish being used in the stringer may also be used in the Heaviest Fish categories.
- The contestants are responsible for the choosing the fish to be weighed and must be presented to the weigh master in the bag supplied by Camp Aranzazu.
- Weighmaster will disqualify any fish that are deemed illegal, not fresh or have been tampered with.
- All fish weighed in will become property of the tournament and will be cleaned and eaten Saturday at the awards party. Any other fish that you have and would like to donate will be greatly appreciated!
